Community Outreach at ESBC consists of reaching out to our community by going door to door to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to encourage people to come to our church or another local church to learn about Jesus Christ. From March 2007 until now we have visited over 700 homes in Paragould and Greene County. In Matthew 28:19 (NIV) states “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Therefore we plan to go to as many houses and homes as possible to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We also set up booths this past year at the Greene County Fair and the Loose Caboose in down town Paragould. Many people came by our booths and got to hear the Good news of Jesus Christ.
One of our goals at East Side Baptist Church is to first present the Gospel to all who will hear and then encourage them to join a church to help them grow closer to the Lord. We like to encourage everyone to join a church whether it is East Side or another church. We just want everyone to be saved from Hell and to get to spend an eternity in Heaven.
Community Outreach dates are posted in the bulletin each month to let our members know when to meet so we can go and visit people. We usually wait until March or April to get start each year because of the cold weather. Everyone is paired up with a partner and gets to choose a street to go and pass out gospel tracts and do door to door surveys about people faith. We don’t believe in being pushy, but we do want to follow Matthew 28:19 and the Great Commission. So if you would like to be a part of Community Outreach or have ideas on how to better reach out to our community please call the church office at 236-ESBC and leave a message for Pastor Jason Noel or Larisa Wallace.
