Not Ashamed

Not Ashamed Student Ministry

During every week that goes by our student ministry tries to offer opportunities for students to do three things vital for their growth as a disciple of Jesus.  We want them to Study, Share, and Serve.

STUDY
Every Sunday morning our students meet in age graded small groups in order to study God’s Word together.  Our teaching team is using the StudentLife systematic 6 year study plan.  By utilizing this curriculum we expect that from the 6th-12th grades  each student will have studied through the scripture twice covering the main doctrines of teaching both in the Old and New Testaments.  God reveals Himself through His word so that we can know Him.  We want our students to know Him.

SHARE
On Sunday nights our students are engaged in a variety of activities together intended to help them know each other better and to become closer friends.  In our ministry there are six school districts represented as well as those who are homeschooled.  This means that we have many students who do not attend school together.  Sunday nights are designed to bring everyone together to spend time together.  Close Christian friends are made this way.  These Christian friendships are a necessity for believers as they offer support and encouragement to live for Christ.  All activities on Sunday nights begin at varying publicized times.  The mail and bulletins must be watched closely by parents in order to keep up.

SERVE
Every Wednesday night our students are engaged in a variety of hands on ministries.  James tells us that faith without works is dead.  We try to ensure that our faith in the student ministry is very much ALIVE!  We do this by leading our students to be a part of prayer walking, block parties, Backyard Bible Clubs, service projects, and more.  Students are the church of today.  We treat them that way.
